  • Who’s covered? Most employers and employees in the national workplace relations system (Fair Work). A small cohort remain in state systems with different arrangements.
  • Commencement: 26 Aug 2024 (most employers/employees); 26 Aug 2025 (small businesses).
  • Interaction with agreements/contracts: Your enterprise agreement or contract may provide additional benefits, but cannot be less beneficial than the Fair Work Act minimum.
