Primary/secondary carers, keeping in touch & ending employment

  • Primary carer: usually receives PPL; secondary carer may receive a separate payment (e.g., Dad and Partner Pay).
  • Keeping in touch: Up to 10 days; not within 14 days of birth/placement; by agreement.
  • Ending employment: Strict time limits apply for challenges (e.g., 21 days for unfair dismissal/GP claims).
