Unpaid Parental Leave (NES): eligibility, notice & flexibility
- Eligibility: 12 months’ service (including eligible casuals) as the primary carer.
- Flexible leave caps: 100/110/120/130 days depending on start date window.
- Concurrent leave: Can be taken with a partner by agreement.
- Notice: 10 weeks (and confirm flexible dates 4 weeks prior).
- Extension: Request a further 12 months (total 24) at least 4 weeks before the end date.
